About 7de Laan

7de Laan is a South African telenovela, which is delivered entirely in Afrikaans with English subtitles. The long-running show was created by Danie Odendaal, and is produced by Danie Odendaal Productions. The series centres around the community of a fictional suburb called Hillside.

The weekday series was forced to halt production upon the commencement of the nationwide lockdown in March 2020, and only resumed production in May 2020. In June 2020, 7de Laan was forced to suspend filming, once again, due to a staff member testing positive for COVID-19, and as of August 2020, all production is expected to continue as normal.
