Afrisaam Fees returns for a 5th consecutive year

Afrisaam Fees returns for its fifth edition on Saturday, 8 June 2019, with the likes of Bobby van Jaarsveld, Steve Hofmeyr and Chrizaan set to perform.

The festival is a celebration of the Afrikaans language, music and culture, where fans have the opportunity to dance and party together. The festival name comes from the words Afrikaans and ‘Saam’, meaning together. This festival is also a child-friendly environment.

The musical acts set to perform includes Afrikaans heavyweights Steve Hofmeyr, Dirk van der Westhuizen, Juan Boucher, Bobby van Jaarsveld, Demi Lee Moore, Chrizaan, Arno Jordaan, Caroline Grace, Arno van der Hoff and many more. The event is to be hosted by Pieter Koen and Henry Bruinette.

Afrisaam is set to take place at a new venue this year, Springs Technical High School’s sports field, which is located 500m from the N17 highway.

Aside from the huge musical line-up, there will be a play area for the children and 50 stalls providing different food and drinks.

Previous editions of the festival have been a huge success amongst the public and this year is expected to be no different as event organisers look to attract a large crowd. 2018’s Afrisaam Fees boasted acts like Riana Nel, Karlien van Jaarsveld and Snotkop.

Tickets are available for purchase from the official Afrisaam website retailing at R180.Primary and pre-school children will gain free entry.
