Rappers AKA and Nasty C are billed to perform at TRACE fest on Saturday, 8 September.
TRACE Southern Africa will present the TRACE Fest block party in Johannesburg this Saturday, 8 September 2018.
The event is set to be a celebration of Johannesburg street culture culminating in live music, art, fashion, lifestyle and street food stalls set up along the Design District streets of Rosebank. The festival line-up will be headlined by rappers AKA, Nasty C and Rouge. House aficionados will be entertained by Mobi Dixon and Malumz on Decks, while fans of alternative music can revel in the sounds of Mx Blouse and Darkie Fiction.
Music industry newcomer Boity Thulo will also perform live on the Trace Fest stage. Nasty C is most likely to join her for the performance of her first single ‘Wuz Dat’ as he features on the track.
The block party is an extension of what TRACE stands for, says TRACE Southern Africa’s Senior Vice-President, Leo Manne. “TRACE is a brand that, over the last 15 years, has been consistent in giving expression to global Afro urban popular culture – #TRACEFest gives us that opportunity,” said Manne.
Doors open at 15:00 on Saturday, 8 September 2018. Tickets are on sale at R150.00 at Computicket
