AKA went on to social media to commemorate four months since the controversial passing of his customary wife, Anele “Nelli” Tembe.
AKA took to Instagram on Wednesday, 11 August 2021, to mark the fourth month since his customary wife, Anele “Nelli” Tembe tragically passed. Tembe is believed to have jumped off the balcony of the Cape Town hotel which she and AKA were staying at on Sunday, 11 April 2021. At the time of the incident, AKA claimed to have been in the bathroom after their “passionate” spat just moments before.
Since Tembe’s passing, their relationship, which was initially believed to be a fairy tale, was revealed to have its own tumultuousness. This is as allegations of substance, emotional and physical abuse have been levelled against the Touch My Blood creator. Moreover, in light of the believed strained relationship between AKA and Tembe’s family over the alleged ongoing investigation into her death, it was believed that AKA would consider taking an extended break from the spotlight.
However, AKA seems intent on regaining his mainstream popularity. This past weekend, the rapper returned to performing after a two-month hiatus. Moreover, on Tuesday, 10 August 2021, he participated in the celebrity maskandi versus hip-hop soccer match.
