AKA shares behind-the-scenes footage as he prepares for the AKA Orchestra Ethekwini

Rapper, AKA, is counting down the days to his much-anticipated AKA Orchestra Ethekwini concert and is sharing rehearsal footage ahead of his performance on Saturday, 2 November 2019.

The second edition of the AKA Orchestra concerts is set to take place on Saturday, 2 November 2019, at the Durban International Convention Centre. The line-up boasts other celebrated names like DJ Zinhle, DJ Tira, Riky Rick and Dladla Mshunqisi. Ahead of the upcoming concert, AKA has shared videos of how much work he is putting in to make the performance a success.

On Monday, 28 October 2019, he shared rehearsal videos with the orchestra. The first video featured the rapper and the orchestra providing a sample on what the hit single, Jika, featuring Yanga Chief, will sound like on the day. One social media user commented on the video, writing, “Let’s cut a bit on the autotune.”

The second video he shared provides his followers with a sample of what one of his current singles, Main Ous, featuring Cape Town rapper, YoungstaCPT, will sound like. The song was originally released on Friday, 18 October 2019, with accompanying visuals that have already garnered over 500 000 views on YouTube.

Following the second video, his fans took to the comments section to share their experiences of seeing AKA performing live in the past and why they feel the tickets to the AKA Orchestra Ethekwini are sought after. One social media wrote, “Now I see where the name [Supa] Mega came from.”  Another social media stated, “I was at Shimmy Beach at [the] beginning of this year when you were performing, your performance on stage is fire.”
