AKA to return to the spotlight for Nedbank Cup Final performance

AKA is set to return to the spotlight for his Nedbank Cup Final performance, following the recent controversial passing of his fiancée, Anele Tembe.

The Nedbank Cup’s official Twitter page revealed on Thursday, 6 May 2021, the list of scheduled performers for the upcoming final. According to the post, Kamo Mphela, Prince Kaybee and AKA will be the opening acts.

Following the announcement, the attention shifted to AKA’s scheduled performance and anticipated return to the spotlight. AKA went on a sabbatical after the passing of his fiancée, Anele Tembe. The Touch My Blood creator issued a statement asking for time to process the incident and subsequent speculation and allegations about him.

The Nedbank Cup Final is set to take place on Saturday, 8 May 2021. There has been no word yet on whether the performance will be televised.
