Anele Mdoda teases at a return to television

Anele Mdoda hosted ‘Real Talk with Anele’ on SABC 3 for four seasons until her resignation in May 2018.

Radio personality Anele Mdoda achieved great success in hosting ‘Real Talk with Anele’ on SABC 3 from 2016 to June 2018. As a result, many fans were left disappointed when she announced her resignation from the show in May this year.

Upon her resignation, Mdoda said, “Real Talk with Anele has, since the beginning of season one, been exceptionally close to my heart and I have been enormously proud to work with SABC 3. I feel, for my own growth, it is time to leave the show and to focus on my career ambitions and prospects. I would like to thank SABC3, the viewers and everyone behind the show for the opportunity they afforded me through the show. Hopefully, this is not the end but see you later.”

Now, the 947 Breakfast Club anchor has excited her fans with a series of Instagram posts sent out over the weekend.

On Sunday, 9 September 2018 Mdoda posted shots of herself braving the icy cold weather at a mystery destination. She then sent out various snaps of herself conducting an interview atop a grassy hill. Her followers surmised that she must be somewhere in the Eastern Cape, after she posted a photograph of herself walking along the roadside, captioned, “It’s colder than a Polar Bears a** out here”.

However, it was the shots of a turquoise couch sent out by the jockey that really got her followers talking. She wrote, “Interviews and innerviews. How boss is this couch from @sofacompanyza,” and, “A backdrop !!! @sofacompanyza the kind of chairs that get you talking ?????????.” One follower wrote in reply, “Hope to see you back on our screens Anele. You are South Africa’s very own talk show queen and an inspiration to many…You are amazing @zintathu and a lot of us out here love you.”
