The Springbok Nude Girls’s lead singer will be the supporting act for Bryan Ferry’s South African leg of his global tour.
Critically acclaimed South African singer and song-writer, Arno Carstens, has been revealed as the supporting act for the iconic Bryan Ferry’s South African leg of his global tour.
The popular English singer will be taking to the Grand West Grand Arena in Cape Town on Thursday, 14 February 2019, before wrapping up at the Sun Arena at Time Square in Pretoria on Saturday, 16 February 2019.
Carstens, who gained much traction as the lead singer of the popular South African alternative group, Springbok Nude Girls, has released numerous chart-topping singles, and boasts five South African Music Awards.
His contribution to the South African music industry has not gone unnoticed, with some even going as far as to call him “the Godfather of South African rock.”
Ferry also gained his ticket into the music industry as the lead vocalist for the rock band, Roxy Music, which rose to prominence in the early seventies and eighties.
Some of their well-known singles include ‘Love Is The Drug,’ ‘More Than This’ and ‘Dance Away.’ Regarded as one of the most innovative and stylish musicians of all time, Ferry has sold more than thirty million albums worldwide in his personal capacity as a solo artist, as well as part of Roxy Music combined.
