Babes Wodumo and Mampintsha announce upcoming Bonnie and Clyde Tour

Gqom musicians Babes Wodumo and Mampintsha will be setting out on a nationwide tour later this year, aptly titled the Bonnie and Clyde tour.

The couple, who are notoriously known for an alleged physical altercation which took place in March 2019, have turned the aftermath of the incident into the theme of forgiveness and redemption for their upcoming tour. According to a post shared on Instagram on Tuesday, 21 May 2019, by Mampintsha’s manager Dogg Dbn, the tour aims to shed light on the true essence of their relationship.

He stated, “It’s a story of love, relationships, superstardom, society and everything in between. But most importantly, it’s a story of FORGIVENESS. I hope you overlook everything and find the love story. Bonnie and Clyde coming to a city near you!”.

Mampintsha then confirmed the tour in a following post on Tuesday, 21 May 2019, which stated, “Introducing South Africa’s very own Mr and Mrs Smith. Love them or hate them – this is a story of SA’s most talked about couple. Come witness what’s to be the biggest tour in South African history”.

The tour is expected to feature popular singles from each artist which include Wololo, Tobeka, Redemption, Khona Iy’ngane Lay’ndlini and Impokompoko. Fans can also expect performances of the numerous collaborations between with pair which include; Angisona, Umngan’wami and Ganda Ganda, just to name a few.

Although dates and cities have not been confirmed for the upcoming tour, according to Dogg Dbn, fans can expect the Bonnie and Clyde tour to take place in late 2019.
