Bassie has released her playful amapiano single, Udlala Ngami, featuring Mgiftoz SA and T-Man SA, which is the lead single off her upcoming debut album, Msholokazi.
Bassie took to Instagram on Friday, 1 October 2021, to confirm the release of her new single, Udlala Ngami, featuring Mgiftoz SA and T-Man SA. The single is the lead single off her upcoming debut studio album, Msholokazi. The release of the single marks the album’s availability for pre-order on digital music platforms. However, ahead of the release of Udlala Ngami, Ngiyazifela, featuring Tyler I.C.U and KayGee The Vibe, was the first single released off the album.
According to the single’s description, “Udlala Ngami, thematically, is a conversation between lovers. Vocally, the single opens with the soulful voice of Mgiftoz. His baritone voice offers the contrast to Bassie’s sweeter and lighter register when she begins with her opening verse. Lyrically, Mgiftoz sings forlornly about how he was left for men that can offer more financially. Bassie counters by suggesting she has been bewitched and not in control of her actions.”
The single is available for purchase on Apple Music.
