BET Africa has confirmed that its popular sitcom, Black Tax, is set to return for a new season in October 2021.
BET Africa took to Twitter on Monday, 20 September 2021, to confirm the imminent return of the popular sitcom, Black Tax. The first season of the show aired back in 2020, starring some of the most popular actors in the country. The lead of the show was veteran and award-winning actress, Jo-Anne Reyneke as Thuli Dlamini. The supporting lead cast consists of Clementine Mosimane, Mandla Jwara, Jason Goliath, Sne Dladla, Daniel Janks, Mamodibe Ramodibe and Bahle Mashinini.
When DStv confirmed the return of the show back in August 2021, it also reminded fans of the premise of the show, writing, “In the laugh-out-loud BET Africa original family sitcom Black Tax, Thuli is a single mom whose hard work as a real estate agent is just starting to pay off – when she realises she’s expected to take care of not just her cousin’s child, but her parents too. They’re experiencing financial difficulties and they’re here to stay. After all, the unspoken rule is that when you’re successful, you have to pay everyone back for the support they gave you when you were growing up.”
The BET Africa post confirmed that the new season is set to premiere on Saturday, 9 October 2021, on BET Africa, DStv channel 129, at 19:00.
