BET Africa is attempting to give young creatives a platform to nurture and grow their talents in the industry with The Culture Squad, which is the collective name for the presenters.
BET Africa has announced new faces joining The Culture Squad, which is a team of visionaries, creatives and trendsetters who are pushing the culture forward across the network’s youth brands, MTV, MTV Base and BET Africa. According to a statement from the channel on Wednesday, 24 February 2021, The Culture Squad will give African talent a bigger stage to showcase their distinct originality, whilst highlighting how they are influencing cultural shifts, setting trends and leading the conversation through a VJ-centred content portfolio.
The Culture Squad includes MTV Base’s newest VJs, Shamiso and Uncle Vinny, as well as some of South Africa’s fan-favourites, Tshego Koke, Farieda “Pharoahfi” Metsileng and Nomalanga “The Flame” Shozi.
