The seventh annual BET Experience, scheduled to take place in late June 2019, will feature a star-studded line-up, including Trippie Redd, Cardi B and Mary J. Blige.
The all-star event, which celebrates musicians of colour, is scheduled to take place from Thursday, 20 June 2019 to Sunday, 23 June 2019. The final line-up was revealed on BET’s official website in May 2019 and shows a long list of heavy-weight musicians who will be taking the stage on the respective dates. The final day of the BET Experience sees the official BET Awards taking place, where many musicians will be acknowledged for their musical contribution to the African America music industry.
The opening night will see performances by Mary J. Blige, H.E.R, Queen Naija, Summer Walker, Bri Steves, Tank, Jaquees, Lucky Daye, Eric Bellinger, Ar’Mon and Trey. The following day will see the likes of Casey Veggies, Dinah Jane, 1Take J, Azchike, YG, Meek Mill, A Boogi Wit Da Hoodie, Blueface and Roddy Ricch. The penultimate concert will showcase Cardi B, Migos, Lil Yachty, Trippie Redd, City Girls, Bino, Micheal Blackson, B. Simone and James Davis. The official BET Awards will take place on Sunday, 23 June 2019, with a slew of musicians expected to perform.
The scheduled performers have shared their excitement on social media via various posts leading up to the musical event. BET took to their website and social media pages on Wednesday, 12 June 2019, to announce that Mary J. Blige will be awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award, honouring her for her years of musical success.
