Black Coffee is set to host a birthday celebration in Johannesburg on Sunday, with a line-up of fellow musicians that includes Euphonik, who was recently accused of rape.
Black Coffee, who celebrates his forty-fifth birthday today, 11 March 2021, will be hosting a public event at The Neighbourgoods Market in Braamfontein on Sunday, 14 March 2021. The birthday celebration will see Black Coffee performing a setlist alongside some of his industry peers, including Lemon & Herb, Desiree, FKA Mash and Kabila.
The line-up also includes Themba, which is the birth name of controversial DJ, Euphonik, indicating that he will also make an appearance. The use of his birth name is said to be a way of avoiding the drama that comes with being associated with Euphonik amid the rape allegations.
The news of Euphonik’s inclusion led to Black Coffee topping the Twitter trends, with some accusing him of supporting a man who has been accused of rape. Many also claimed that the use of Euphonik’s real name on the line-up was deceitful, further accusing Black Coffee of supporting an alleged rapist.

Was using his name Themba (& not Euphonik) a way to not show people that you’re actively supporting an abuser ? https://t.co/CEgKP7efSP
