Blxckie releases retrospective debut album, B4now

Blxckie, through his debut album, B4now, has released a retrospective album which showcases his musicality and versatility about days before his introduction to the mainstream entertainment industry.

Blxckie took to Instagram on Friday, 21 May 2021, to confirm the availability of his debut album, B4now. The album is the introduction of the supposed overnight superstar, who has less than a year in the mainstream music industry, to the masses. Despite this, he has already gained the respect of veterans in hop-hop.

The 12-track album serves as a retrospective body of work that showcases the tastes and styles which have influenced Blxckie over the years, which he confirmed when speaking to Apple Music. He stated, “B4now is a mixture of stuff I was doing before I got into the Big Time Sh’lappa era, and then some new songs also.” Adding, “I’m also telling people a story about how things happened – me being in Durban for a while and then coming to Jozi to work out a plan to do everything.”

Some of the already popular tracks from the album include Stripes, featuring Flvme, Big Time Sh’lappa, featuring Lucasraps, Uppity, and Ye X 4, featuring Nasty C. Other notable singles on the album include David, Mama It’s Bad, Hold, Hut and the fan-favourite single, Sika.

The album is available for purchase on Apple Music.
