Boer Soek ‘n Vrou delays season premiere and announces format changes

Boer Soek ‘n Vrou will be returning to KykNET in early 2021, following the delay in production due to the coronavirus pandemic, which has also resulted in changes to the format.

Boer Soek ‘n Vrou’s thirteenth season will be premiering on KykNET on Thursday, 21 January 2020, with 10 new farmers who are looking for love. In a press release from DStv in October 2020, KykNET confirmed changes to the format of the show to minimize contact between cast members.

Publicity Agent, Wilmer Müller, stated, “The safety of all the participants and the crew will be of the highest priority, and that is why strict safety measures will be taken. Unlike in previous seasons, the potential love interests will not be handing in letters and boxes full of goodies to woo their farmer. Digital entries accompanied by a video of the participant introducing themselves only will be taken.”

Boer Soek ‘n Vrou host, Marciel Hopkins, has also expressed her excitement about the show, after it was postponed indefinitely due to the nationwide lockdown. “I am extremely excited about this show, and viewers can definitely expect some surprises when we finally air in January. The 10 farmers in season 13 also have me excited.”
