Boity positively responds to plea for food money by a social media user

Media personality, Boity Thulo, has extended a helping hand towards a social media user who asked for money to buy food after having not eaten for the past few days.

On Friday, 20 September 2019, Boity proved that she is one of most charitable South African media personalities after a social media user asked her for money to buy food. The social media user confessed that he had not eaten for days. In response to the plea, Boity responded by writing, “Good morning Ronald. Alright, I’ll e-wallet you. Just direct message me your number.”

One of the first comments was from a follower that stated, “Thank you. I went through his timeline, he has been crying out for help.” Going through Ronald’s timeline, one will see that he has been asking for help with food money since Tuesday, 27 August 2019.

In June 2019,  he had posted the tattered shoes of a child and explained his situation on Twitter, writing, “I’m a single unemployed father of an eight-year-old son from Witbank, [I] was asking if there’s anyone around Witbank who can donate a pair of shoes size 11 would be appreciated, any help would mean a lot to him and me. These are his last pair of shoes.”

Other social media users also showered Boity with messages of gratitude on the comments section of her reply. One follower wrote, “What you do to others has already been done to you. Never fear being played or used by people, God will deal with them. Continue doing what’s in your heart helping people in need, God will reward you not people.”  Another follower simply wrote, “My queen you’re doing the Lord’s work.”
