Boity Thulo embraces the monochromatic trend with her recent outfit

On Sunday, 20 October 2019, Boity Thulo took to social media to showcase the outfit she wore to the YFM Lyfe Concert, posting a monochromatic two-piece from Slay Boutique.

The rapper captioned the images with a phrase from Beyoncé’s hit single, Brown Skin Girl, and credited South African celebrity photographer, Austin Malema. In the images, Boity is dressed in a two-piece pyjama outfit from Slay Boutique. The online store has dressed a number of popular South African names, including Bonang Matheba, Ntando Duma and Thando Thabethe.

The print is a bold, monochromatic zebra print, embellished with mosaic lining which showcases Boity’s celebrated form. The Bakae hitmaker coupled the look with gold, open-toe stilettos and hoop earrings that complemented the gold, mosaic lining of the two-piece ensemble. The rapper opted for a natural make-up look, focusing the attention on the outfit.

The star has recently been choosing carefully curated looks, most of which have been mainly black-inspired. This outfit breaks away from the looks she’s recently worn, with the white and the lining making the outfit’s print stand out.

Many of her followers were complimentary of the outfit. One social media user wrote, “Boitumelo Thulo, my favourite sweetheart. You make me get up, dress up and go get it. I love you. You [are] such [an] inspiration!” Another social media user said, “Love everything about you.”
