On Thursday, 18 July 2019, Boity Thulo took to Instagram to share a picture of the certificate she received from Forbes Under 30, as part of the 2019 class of achievers.
South African media personality and rapper, Boitumelo Thulo, commonly known as Boity, is one of the new alumni for the Forbes Africa Under 30 collective. Boity shared the news when she posted a picture of a certificate on social media.
She simply captioned the post, which has received over 5 000 likes, “I’m framing this”. In response to the captioned post, Boity’s mom, Modiehi Thulo, congratulated her and agreed that it deserved to be framed.
Earlier in the year, Forbes Africa Under 30 hosted a meet-up event and Boity was one of the participants who has been listed in the creatives’ category. Boity shared on her Instagram in an earlier post, following the event, that making the list was part of her 2017 vision board.
The event, which took place at the Houghton hotel, Johannesburg, saw various well-known personalities in the creative, sports, business and technology industries being a part of the list. Some of the people who made the list of 120 young individuals said to be under the age of 30 include South African Rugby captain, Siya Kolisi, Proteas cricketer, Kagiso Rabada; TV Presenter, Kim Jayde, rapper, Sho Madjozi, actress and TV presenter, Thando Thabethe; Olympic gold medallist, Caster Semenya and many more known personalities in different categories. Bonang Matheba was also part of the event and was featured as one of the speakers.
