Bonang Matheba featured on Power FM’s 987 Woman line-up

On Friday, 26 July 2019, Bonang Matheba revealed that she will be a part of the annual 987 Woman campaign, which will see her back on the airwaves in light of women’s month.

South African media personality and businesswoman, Bonang Matheba, is amongst the individuals listed for Power FM’s fifth edition of the 987 Woman campaign. The campaign is set to celebrate women who are rated powerful in different sectors such as business, entertainment, finance and social upliftment across the country.

The campaign sees the station deviate from its regular programming by allowing the listed influential women to host their own shows, instead of the station’s regular presenters.

Bonang, who has been listed in the entertainment sector, will be hosting her own show at the radio station and sharing her personal story of success.

In an official release on Friday, 26 July 2019, station manager, Bob Mabena, commented on the campaign, stating, “Each year we celebrate a different theme, and this year we delve straight into the heart of our country, and the women in it. We want to know what their source of power is, power that finds expression in the way we speak, think and interact with the world. The women who have generously availed themselves to give our listeners a compelling range of conversations during the 2019 instalment of #987Woman, embody power in ways that inspire us,”

Other notable women that will form part of this year’s line-up include Sho Madjozi, Lillian Dube, Leane Manas and Evita Bezuidenhot.
