Books that champion financial literacy to become rich

Published on

The key to financial freedom comes from being informed on various aspects of life and money, fortunately, there are books which can help you on your journey to success.

The current financial climate in South Africa, and around the world, is in a complete state of disarray due to the global coronavirus pandemic. Many people have either had no income during the lockdown, been subject to significant pay cuts, or have lost their jobs entirely. What the lockdown has taught many is that in order to survive any unprecedented situation that may come up in the future, it is important to be financially savvy and forward-thinking.

Self-help authors have been preaching about financial literacy for years, and have consistently emphasised the importance of changing your financial mentality in order to become rich.

Phumelele Ndumo’s From Debt to Riches is a guide to understanding how money works and encourages financial discipline. Sylvia Walker’s Smart Woman focuses on how to multiply one’s wealth, while Robert Kiyosaki’s Rich Dad Poor Dad explores how to start a business and manage cash flow.
