South African actress and model, Buhle Samuels, took to Instagram on Saturday, 5 October 2019, to showcase the outfit she wore to the Ciroc event to commemorate World Vodka Day. The event was hosted on Friday, 4 October 2019, and saw the likes of Thando Thabethe and Mihlali Ndamase in attendance.
She opted for a pair of white high waisted skinny jeans, paired with a blue and white, sleeveless, floral crop top from online clothing brand, Slay Boutique. She accessorised the outfit with strappy heels, silver drop earrings and a black luxury designer handbag. She wore her hair in a short curly bob.
Social media users flooded the post with complimentary messages to Buhle. Among the comments were South African beauty and fashion influencers, Kefilwe Mabote and Lerato Kgamanyane, who shared heart-eyed emojis to express approval.
Although many of the comments were positive, one Instagram user commented negatively on Buhle’s designer handbag, saying that it looked fake. “No guys, her bag doesn’t look like a real Chanel”, the user wrote. The actress responded to the comment and advised the user to seek further education on the matter of designer handbags, “Go educate yourself further then come back to me”, Buhle replied. Many other users defended the actress, with one user asking her why she even felt the need to respond to the comment as it did not deserve any attention.
