To commemorate the anniversary, Cardi shared a never-before-seen photograph from their wedding ceremony on Instagram. She captioned the snap, “TBT …September 20th”.
The pair secretly wed in September 2017, one month before Offset proposed to Cardi in front of a sold-out crowd at Power 99’s Powerhouse in Philadelphia. Cardi confirmed rumours of their union in June 2018, with a tweet. “There are so many moments that I share with the world and there are moments that I want to keep for myself! Getting married was one of those moments! Our relationship was so new breaking up and making up and we had a lot of growing to do but we [were] so in love we didn’t want to lose each other,” she tweeted.
In her post sent out on Thursday, Cardi and Offset can be seen exchanging their vows in casual attire without any pretence whatsoever. Speaking on the ceremony, Cardi said, “we found someone to marry us, and she did, just the two of us and my cousin. I said I do, with no dress, no makeup and no ring.”.
Cardi B gave birth to her and Offset’s first child, a daughter named Kulture Kiari Cephus, in July 2018. Recently, the rapper gushed over her baby during an interview with E! News. “I feel like, ah, I just wanna get home to my baby,” she said. “She’s so cute. I love her.”
