Cassper Nyovest refutes labelling Big Xhosa a “clout chaser”

Published on

Cassper Nyovest has refuted the claims that his suggestive post comparing the actions of an unnamed clout chaser and his goals were directed at contentious rapper, Big Xhosa.

Cassper Nyovest took to Twitter on Sunday, 2 May 2021, to detail that he is currently working on accruing more wealth, which he compared with the actions of an unnamed “clout chaser.” Coincidentally, at the time of his tweet, rapper, Big Xhosa, was trending. The rapper was trending due to his first diss track from Saturday, 1 May 2021, which hears him lambasting some of the leading rappers in the country.

Initially, it was believed that it was a spoof video. However, Twitter users did their research on the rapper and found that Big Xhosa is an actual rapper. Therefore, Twitter users started commenting on his bravery for lambasting some of the leading rappers in the country without fear of being shunned.

When Nyovest shared his cryptic tweet, he received backlash, as some believed that he was offended by the diss track. Due to the backlash, Nyovest added a second tweet to the initial one about the “clout chaser,” claiming that he was not referring to Big Xhosa. However, he did not clarify who he was referring to.
