Cindy Mahlangu has emerged as one of South Africa’s most promising television stars in recent years, having taken on many roles showcasing her versatile acting skills.
Cindy Mahlangu has gained major recognition in the South African entertainment industry, as she has taken on numerous major roles at the age of 23.
She is most known for her role as Siyanda on The Queen, a drug-addict who has caused havoc for the Khoza family.
On Friday, 12 June 2020, it was revealed that Cindy would be exiting the show after her character was dramatically killed off.
Her departure from the show was speculated to be because of her desire to pursue other roles and opportunities.
The actress recently appeared in Netflix’s second African original production, Blood And Water, where she portrayed high school student, Zama. The character showed a stark contrast to her role on The Queen, as Zama appeared more youthful and carefree.
On Monday, 15 June 2020, Netflix announced that Blood And Water would be returning for a second season, which Cindy is expected to appear in.
Cindy Mahlangu has also appeared on Mzansi Magic’s supernatural drama series, The Herd, as Dumazile, and plays Kayise on SABC 1’s Makoti.
