Connie Ferguson’s return to The Queen confirmed

Ferguson Films has confirmed that Connie Ferguson is set to mark her on-screen return to The Queen this week, following her two-month break from the show.

Ferguson Films took to Twitter on Sunday, 26 September 2021, to share a preview of the upcoming week’s episodes of Mzansi Magic’s The Queen. The biggest reveal the preview shared was the confirmation that lead, Connie Ferguson, is set to reprise her role as Harriet Khoza on the show. On Friday, 10 September 2021, Ferguson had also revealed that she had returned to her office as she began working again.

Connie had taken a break when her late husband and business partner, Shona Ferguson fell into ill health. Her first day back on set was on Monday, 13 September 2021. In the two weeks since her return, the production has been working tirelessly to continue Harriet’s story, with suggestions that it will pick up from her affair with Hector Seebata, a role played by Rapulana Seiphemo, who was Ferguson’s most iconic love interest on Generations.

Though the preview did not share an official date for Harriet’s return, the viewers are predicting that this week’s episodes will open with her return. The Queen airs every weeknight on Mzansi Magic, DStv channel 161, at 21:00.
