Controversial bishop issues public apology to Ariana Grande

Bishop Charles H Ellis III has issued an apology to Ariana Grande for groping her in an inappropriate manner at the late legendary singer Aretha Franklin’s funeral.

Bishop Charles H Ellis III has issued a public apology to singer Ariana Grande. This comes after the controversial bishop groped the singer in a rather inappropriate manner at the late Aretha Franklin’s funeral. A video of the bishop wrapping his arms around Grande and groping the side of her breast sparked social media outrage.

“It would never be my intention to touch any woman’s breast. I was, I don’t know… I guess I put my arm around her. Maybe I crossed the border, maybe I was too friendly or familiar but again, I apologise,” the bishop said.

The bishop goes on to say that the act was not meant to offend or disrespect anyone in any way and that as a Christian man and a man of God, he sincerely apologises to Grande.

Grande has not responded to the bishop nor has she addressed the controversy directly, but she has responded to some of her fans and extended heartfelt messages, thanking her fans for their support and speaking out against the bishop.

The bishop further went on to apologise for making a joke about the singer’s name, saying that when he saw her name on the programme, he thought it was a new item on the menu at Taco Bell, which is a Tex-Mex chain of fast food restaurants.

“So, I apologise to Ariana and to her community, her family and everyone,” the bishop concluded.
