Da L.E.S has announced the release date of his brand new single, ‘Iced Out,’ featuring AKA and Emtee, confirming it as Friday, 23 November 2018.

Popular South African hip-hop artist, Da L.E.S, is gearing up to release a brand new single titled ‘Iced Out,’ which features AKA and Emtee. The single was produced by Gemini Major, and is set to be released this Friday, 23 November 2018.

Da L.E.S broke into the South African music industry as part of the popular group Jozi, alongside group members Bongani Fassie, Ishmael and Crazy Lu. Following the group’s split, the rapper has since gone on to release chart-topping singles such as ‘Tippy Toes,’ ‘Heaven’ and ‘Real Stuff.’

In an interview published by Hype Magazine on Monday, 12 March 2018, the rapper says he is honoured to play such an important role in the urban youth culture, adding that he hopes to pave the way for many more artists that follow.

“I’m that guy. When the youth call me OG, I accept that with open arms, that’s exactly what I want to be,” he said. “I want to be some sort of pillar where you can get inspired from and learn from. I want to be a guide and be able to do things for the culture that has never been done before, open doors and pave the way.”

The song’s feature artists, Emtee, AKA and Gemini Major, as well as DJ Euphonik, have also taken to social media to promote the single, ahead of its release on Friday.
