Danielle Cohn’s love story tweet criticised for untimeliness

Published on

Danielle Cohn took to Twitter to reminisce on how her lover saved her life, with many criticising the musician for posting about her love life amid the violent unrest and racial tension.

Danielle Cohn, on Monday, 1 June 2020, took to Twitter to share a doting post about how her boyfriend saved her life two years ago, which marked the start of their romance. In her post, the musician wrote, “Two years ago, he saved my life. We had our first kiss and [I am] still in love with him.”

However, considering the ongoing violent unrest and racial tension, many argued that the tweet came at the wrong time. Instead of politely telling Danielle that the tweet might have come at the wrong time, Twitter users did not mince their words in their criticism.

One of the top comments stated, “Really? This is what you’re using your platform to talk about? There’s way more serious stuff happening in the world right now.” Another comment called into question the timeline of her love story, suggesting that it has been four years.
