Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters took to Instagram to share how her signature red lip look was achieved for her judging appearance at the 2019 Miss South Africa (SA) pageant.
On Tuesday, 1 October 2019, Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters posted a video showing how she achieved her make-up look for this year’s Miss SA pageant. The former Miss SA and Miss Universe was part of the judging panel that crowned Zozibini Tunzi as this year’s Miss SA. However, Demi-Leigh herself was a vision at the prestigious event which took place on Friday, 9 August 2019. The beauty had subtle make-up and her signature red lip on the day.
The video she shared is over two-minutes long and is presented in a fast-forwarded motion. When the video starts, Demi-Leigh already has her eyes and foundation done. The video focuses on the final touches to her smokey eye look and how she achieves her signature bold red lip. In the caption to the post, she stated, “Long lashes and red lips. Make-up by Gina Myers. Totally overdue but here’s the look Gina Myers created for the Miss SA pageant earlier this year.”
The video marks the first lengthy video that Demi-Leigh has shared on how to achieve make-up looks. The last time she shared a video revealing the process of applying her make-up was in July 2019. This video was less than ten seconds long and revealed her styling and beauty team’s process for the final touches to her look.
After posting her make-up look for the pageant, Gina took to Instagram to share her experience with Demi-Leigh, stating, “Oh my word, Demi, you are exquisite inside and out. And [you are] a true queen. Thank you for trusting me to paint your magnificent face. It’s honestly a very special moment for me to be around you. Your energy is so beautiful. And your kindness stems from you heart.”
