Die Heuwels Fantasties’ Herverbeel marks their most collaborative album to date
Die Heuwels Fantasties’ latest album, Herverbeel, sees the Afrikaans group collaborating with a wide selection of artists, which is testament of their ability to expand beyond their usual sound.
Die Heuwels Fantasties released their album, Herverbeel, on Friday, 11 December 2020, which was met with applause by not just the Afrikaans community, but the wider South African music community at large. The band has managed to step out of the traditional Afrikaans sound in this new offering, and showcase their ability to produce electronic dance music that transcends language.
TRESOR, Loki Rothman, TJ Terblanche and Tarryn Lamb are amongst the collaborators on the 18-track album, with each song including sounds from a musician other than the band members. Die Hewels Fantasties has managed to maintain their audience since their debut in 2007 by keeping up to date with trends that have been implemented into the modern musical climate. Herverbeel does just that, proving that the band will continue to be a timeless group in the South African music industry for years to come.
The album is available for purchase on Apple Music.
