DJ Fresh and Euphonik have returned after their month-long hiatus, announcing that they have ended their contracts with Primedia amid the abuse allegations levelled against them.
DJ Fresh and Euphonik took to Twitter on Wednesday, 10 February 2021, to inform their fans that they will be resuming public engagements, however, any obligations involving broadcaster, Primedia, have been ceased with immediate effect. The joint statement explained that after extensive legal consultations, they were unable to find common ground with the broadcasting company, resulting in the termination of their contracts.
They stated, “After extensive consultation, legal and otherwise, we have concluded that it is in our best interests to resume all of our pubic engagements. We look forward to our names being cleared. Unfortunately, we can’t find common ground with Primedia and have agreed a release from our obligations to the broadcaster, with immediate effect.”
DJ Fresh and Euponik were accused of raping a young woman by the name of Nampree on Twitter, who came forward on Monday, 11 January 2021, to detail her story. She alleged that she had found herself in a situation where she was heavily drugged by both DJ Fresh and Euphonik, and had woken up after allegedly being raped by either one or both of them.
She stated, “[DJ Fresh and Euphonik], will you ever acknowledge [drugging] me and further raping me? I was completely drugged I don’t know whether you both raped me or one of you did and you later laughed about it the next morning, saying we (me and three girls) were so drunk we kept blacking out but [you raped us].”
