DJ Fresh, who stated that he does not drink at home, celebrated the easing of lockdown restrictions with a takeaway meal from multi-national fast food chain, McDonald’s, instead of alcohol.
DJ Fresh shared on Twitter how he is celebrating what many South Africans have dubbed the “new year” on Monday, 1 June 2020. While many expected him to share images of his liquor purchases, following his post on Sunday, 31 May 2020, he opted for a takeaway meal instead. The media veteran had shared a comical video in anticipation of the move to alert Level 3 of the national lockdown, which permits the sale and home consumption of alcohol.
However, in what served as a plot twist to his video, the 947 drive-time show host stated that because alcohol consumption is only permitted at home, he opted not to buy alcohol. Instead, “The Big Dawg” decided to spoil himself with a cheat meal by stopping at his local McDonald’s store.
