DJ Maphorisa, Kabza De Small and Njelic sample new single, with accompanying dance move

DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small are working on their sophomore joint album, Return Of The Scorpion Kings, and shared a sample of the new music, while they debuted a new dance move.

The duo had recently announced that they are working together again to create their sophomore joint album, The Return Of The Scorpion Kings. The popular South African DJs, Kabza De Small and DJ Maphorisa, have continued to share samples of the music they are working on for the new project. The first sample was shared earlier in August, when they unveiled the single they worked on with vocalists, Thandiswa Mazwai and Busiswa, called Abuyile Amakhosi.

On Tuesday, 27 August 2019, DJ Maphorisa shared a sample of the second single that they are working on for the album. For this single, the duo has enlisted the talents of male vocalist, Njelic, who is the artist behind one of the biggest singles in South Africa currently, Shesha. For this single, the duo, along with Njelic, have also created an accompanying dance move named after the single’s title, Saba Sika Ngomdanso.

The video starts as the hook of the song plays, after which Njelic provides live vocals of what will be adlibs on the song. As Njelic loses himself in singing the song, Kabza De Small continues dancing in the background.

The dance move involves a slight dip and shoulder shrug during the drop the single. Many of the comments have already concurred that the single will be a hit. One follower complimented DJ Maphorisa’s ear for music by writing, “With Maphorisa in, [you can] never go wrong, trust me.” Another comment was in awe of Njelic’s vocals, writing, “Njelic is mad talented.”

Another fan celebrated Kabza De Small, who is arguably the leading pioneer of the amapiano sound, writing, “I’m ready Kabza.” Most comments stated that the song makes them look forward to the summer and the festive season, with the album set for release on Friday, 29 November 2019.
