DJ Maphorisa took to Twitter on Monday, 24 February 2020, to create a thread addressing a news article which suggested that he enables Kabza De Small’s alleged drinking problem. In a series of tweets, DJ Maphorisa affirmed himself as an integral part of the South African music industry. He continued to call out other major South African artists, like Lady Zamar and Prince Kaybee, for allegedly not owning the masters of their songs.
