DJ Tira heads to London to perform at Afrobeats Festival 2019

Published on

DJ Tira is one of the selected African artists who will be performing at the prestigious Afrobeats Festival, which will be hosted in London this coming Saturday.

The Afrobeats Festival, which is also known as the Ghana Party In The Park Festival, is set to take place on Saturday, 13 July 2019, at the Trent Park in London. Although the festival has a host of mainly Ghanaian artists who will grace the stage, one South African artist that has been invited to perform is Afrotainment founder, DJ Tira.

DJ Tira officially announced the upcoming performance on Wednesday, 10 July 2019, when he posted his promotional image for the festival across his social media pages. In his caption, DJ Tira shared his excitement about heading to London to perform as part of the line-up for the festival. However, the DJ will not be heading to London alone. DJ Tira shared a video revealing that he is taking two of his dancers with him to London.

In the video, which was posted on the same day as the announcement, DJ Tira can be seen sitting on top of a table with his two dancers next to him. Each of them has their visa in hand, and as the video starts, DJ Tira confirms that they will be in London this coming Saturday. The video features the two dancers, Onica and Slender, screaming with excitement as DJ Tira tries to share details about the concert. In his caption to the post, he credits Nigerian musician, Mr Eazi, for the opportunity to perform at the festival.

DJ Tira will share the stage with popular African artists like Kwesi Arthur, Kida Kudz and King Promise. The festival is set to start at 12:00 and is scheduled to wrap-up at 20:00.

Tickets are available for purchase on GPITP.
