DJ and businesswoman, Ntombezinhle Jiyane, popularly known as DJ Zinhle, announced that her deejaying school, Fuse Academy, has been temporarily shut down and warned students against making payments until otherwise advised.

On Thursday, 4 July 2019, award-winning South African deejay, DJ Zinhle, took to Twitter to warn her followers against making payments for enrolment to Fuse Academy, which she confirmed has been temporarily closed. The academy was founded in 2009 by DJ Zinhle.

In the tweet, DJ Zinhle warned Twitter users, and anyone who may want to join the academy during this period, not to pay, saying, Please note that I have temporarily shut down Fuse Academy. Do not pay anyone for enrolment even if they are using a Fuse Academy account. If you have paid, please email [email protected]”.

The messages following in the comments section raised a few concerns and confusion as some of her followers probed for further information, to which the DJ has yet to reply. Part of the concerns that were raised in the comments section was the reason behind the temporary shutdown of the academy. These remain unanswered.

In the tweet, DJ Zinhle makes mention that all those who have already paid must contact the academy through the academy’s provided email but kept mum as to whether they will be refunded or not. Furthermore, no information has been made available as to whether or not it will re-open and when that will be.

The tweet has since received 214 retweets and over 802 likes.
