‘Omunye’ feature artist Dladla Mshunqisi has revealed that he will be releasing his highly anticipated debut album next Friday, 19 October 2018.

Popular South African Gqom artist Dladla Mshunqisi is gearing up to launch his debut album titled uMshunqu next week. The Durbanite is expected to release the album on Friday, 19 October 2018, and eager fans will be glad to know that the album is already available for pre-order on Apple Music.

Dladla Mshunqisi currently has one of the biggest songs in the country right now called ‘Pakisha,’ which features AfroTainment founder DJ Tira, and award-winning Gqom duo Distruction Boyz. Dladla Mshunqisi gained much traction after his feature on Benny Maverick’s ‘Memeza,’ a 2017 hit.

Each of the singles on the 13-track album features an industry heavyweight, with the likes of Beast, Busiswa, Prince Kaybee, Nokwazi, TipCee, DJ Tira and Distruction Boyz being some of the known artists that are on the album.

Apart from making music, Dladla Mshunqisi has revealed that he thoroughly enjoys cooking, and claims that he is a whizz in the kitchen. Speaking to local media in an article published on Sunday, 5 November 2017, the hitmaker commented:

“I’m a person who is always keen to learn new things in the kitchen and I’m attentive when someone is cooking. I try to also keep up with the latest trends in the food scene. Cooking is one business I always invest in. As much as I am known for the music now, it’s not something that I wanted to be known for, it just happened. But I love the food industry more than the music industry.”

The musician has already revealed the cover art for his upcoming album.
