Starting on Tuesday, 2 April 2019, singer Donald took to his Twitter page to share more details about his single and upcoming album and started the hashtag #HerNameIs.

Donald posted a video across his social media pages on Sunday, 31 March 2019, announcing his upcoming collaboration with Mlindo the Vocalist for the upcoming single Ngiyazfela, set for a release date of Thursday, 26 April 2019. The artist then tweeted a screenshot of the post, which has been retweeted over ten thousand times, and used the positive responses as indication that fans were ready for the single’s release.

Following that, Donald started tweeting about his upcoming album on Tuesday, 2 April 2019. The first tweets were affirmative tweets about how well the making of the album is going, and how he believes that this is his best album yet. He even shared the lyrics of the single’s hook, asking fans to learn the lyrics ahead of the single’s release.

The vocalist then started the hashtag #HerNameIs. He confessed that he was taking a different approach with his upcoming album and was feeling emotional because he was falling in love with music again while making the album.

In his last tweet of that day on Tuesday, he talked about imagining the response that people would have to the album, which he believes is sonically different from the four other albums he has released to date.

Donald continued sharing and engaging with followers on Wednesday, 3 April 2019, when he encouraged fans to take pride in their names and write them under the hashtag #HerNameIs. His Twitter page is currently filled with a list of fans that have written their names under the hashtag. Donald explained that the activation is a countdown to the release of the album.

The singer revealed that the album will be a twenty-track body of work, despite criticism that it might be too many songs to be released under one album.
