Dr Tumi has received support from the EFF’s Mbuyiseni Ndlozi, in light of the allegations of fraud levelled against the gospel singer and his wife.
Commissar of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), Mbuyiseni Ndlozi took to Twitter on Wednesday, 7 April 2021, to affirm his support for troubled gospel musician, Dr Tumi, and his wife, who is also his manager. This follows reports of the pair allegedly defrauding the National Lottery Board of R1.5 million.
Many fellow celebrities and musicians have not commented on the matter yet, however, it has been topical on social media throughout the day. Moreover, the No Other God hitmaker has not released a statement refuting the allegations yet. This is not the first time that Dr Tumi has been accused of illegally benefitting from COVID-19 relief funds.
Earlier in the year, the musician was accused of benefitting from state funds after allegedly receiving a grant for a failed virtual concert. However, Dr Tumi subsequently released a statement refuting the claims at the time.
