DStv has clarified that South Africans will view the new season of Big Brother, Naija, through the reality show being simulcast with the Nigerian airing.
DStv took to Twitter on Wednesday, 21 July 2021, to clarify the viewing times of the upcoming new season of Big Brother, Naija (BBNaija), which is set to premiere its sixth season. BBNaija is scheduled to premiere later in the week, however, confusion set in as local DStv subscribers believed that they would only watch the new episodes after the live premiere of the episodes in Nigeria.
Clarifying the matter in the post, the paid subscription platform stated, “BBNaija season 6 will be available on DStv (Ch 197) to all Premium, Compact Plus, Compact, Family and Access subscribers in South Africa from Friday, 2 July 2021, until Sunday, 3 October 2021.”
Continently, the countdown to the premiere of the new season has begun. BBNaija is arguably the most successful of the African spinoffs of the reality show. Other countries that have promoted the premiere include Uganda and Rwanda.
