Early B has released his second studio album, Funky-Kaans, which sees him venturing out of strictly hip-hop and exploring pop music.
Early B’s latest album, Funky-Kaans, was released on Friday, 19 February 2021, on Apple Music. The rapper offers a lengthy tracklist with 16 songs, which include features from King B, Tertuis Cuyler, Christine Bam, Miss Understood, Bliksemstraal, Anny and Jack Parow. The Afrikaans musician appears to be exploring a new sound in his second album, deviating from his signature hip-hop verses and delivering pop backing tracks instead.
According to Apple Music, Early B has attempted to raise the bar by exploring other genres, something that his fans are not used to. He stated, “Back in the day, it was just a matter of me angrily rapping along to a beat. I feel like I have grown as a musician.” Early B also sings much more on this album than on any of his other projects.
The album is available for purchase on Apple Music.
