Legendary singer Elton John is geared up for the second North American leg of his final worldwide tour, which was announced as sold out in early March, 2019.
The North American leg kicks off on Tuesday, 12 March 2019 and will continue until Saturday, 16 March 2019. The Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour serves as his final worldwide tour and will consist of more than three hundred shows in five different continents, concluding in 2021. The tour commenced in September 2018 in the United States and received an overwhelming response, so much so, that the second leg was added onto the schedule in September 2018 and was met with even more excitement, leading to all of the shows being sold out once again.
In a statement published on the official Elton John website, the singer stated, “Performing live fuels me and I’m ecstatic and humbled to continue to play to audiences across the globe. I plan to bring the passion and creativity that has entertained my fans for decades to my final tour.”
The tour will visit North Carolina, South Carolina and there will be two shows in Florida. The shows close off the singer’s fifty-year reign in live performances and according to John, he looks forward to spending time with his children after the tour’s conclusion.
According to his website, the new stage production takes fans on a musical and highly visual journey which spans a fifty-year career of hits, something that has never been done before.
