Emtee appears to be attempting to make amends with his wife, Nicole Kendall Ndevu, whom he reportedly accused of domestic violence, which resulted in him being kicked out of his home.
Emtee took to Twitter on Saturday, 30 January 2021, to publicly apologise to his wife, Nicole Kendall Ndevu, less than two months after he reportedly accused her of domestic violence. The rapper, who released his latest single, iThemba, on Friday, 29 January 2021, subtly added his public statement on his record company, Emtee Records’ timeline, amidst congratulatory tweets about his new song.
He stated, “I’d like to apologise to the mother of my children, my wife Nicole. I hope you find it in your heart to forgive me. I love you Mrs Ndevu.”
In the since-deleted tweets from November 2021, the rapper reportedly claimed that his wife had repeatedly caused physical harm to him, and had restricted his access to his children. Emtee attempted to start a movement against abuse towards men from their partners, as a way of speaking out.
The father of two has yet to retract his statements, however, it appears as though the anger towards Nicole has subsided, as he is now working on rebuilding his family.
