Enhle Mbali Maphumulo bares it all at the In Good Company Experience

The female empowerment event saw Enhle Mbali Maphumulo take to the stage and honestly address her husband’s infidelity rumours that came to light in 2013.

Popular actress, Enhle Mbali Maphumulo opened up to the audience during her address at the inaugural In Good Company Experience Summit in Sandton. The female empowerment event’s line-up also included international actress Issa Rae and local songstress Thandiswa Mazwai. The actress spoke out for the first time about her husband DJ Black Coffee’s infidelity rumours that dominated headlines in 2013.

The actress admits that she received more support from men than she did from women when her marriage was thrust into the spotlight, following claims that her husband was having an affair with model and aspiring businesswoman Pheladi Makola.

Speaking on the ordeal, Enhle commented:

“A sister did me wrong. I heard comments such as ‘she thinks she’s perfect, even Beyonce gets cheated on.’ My own sisters make their way to my husband’s inbox, in the industry an out of the industry. The very same sisters that I fight for.”

She continued to add that although everyone involved is equally to blame, it was time for women to self-introspect and define what womanhood means to them, she concluded by saying:

“This is the truth I wanted to speak of. How deep is your womanhood? Are we only sisters when we need something from each other? Are we only sisters when I don’t want your man or the job you have? Or the shoes or clothes you have? Where does our womanhood start and where does it?”
