Actress and media personality, Enhle Mbali Mlotshwa, has confirmed that she has filed for divorce and asked for privacy for her family in a video she released on social media.
On Sunday, 10 November 2019, Enhle Mbali Mlotshwa took to social media to confirm that she has filed for divorce from international DJ, Black Coffee. In the video she shared on her social media pages, she starts by saying, “I woke up today to an article. I have been called by journalists a lot lately and I have stuck to my “no comment,” and it works for me. But, today I woke up to something extremely personal that I handed over to the court, that has now made it to the papers.”
She then goes on say, “The situation that is happening right now in my life is happening, but I would also like a bit of space with regards to questions and so forth. I do believe the system will do what is due and what is fair. I do believe in every way that the South African system is a fair one and our justice system is built around creating fair decisions for those who can’t make amicable decisions.”
Her statement reiterates claims that that two are embroiled in a divorce battle, with Enhle allegedly wanting compensation for the years she took a break from her career to focus on raising their children and managing the La La La hit maker. The rest of the video features the star asking for space and privacy. She then reads an excerpt from Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, which was made famous as the intro to Beyoncé’s hit single, Flawless.
Since sharing the video and confirming the divorce, many popular media personalities showed their support to the star. Some of the mentionable names include Bridgette Masinga, Uyanda Mbuli, Pearl Modiaidie and Bonnie Mbuli who wrote, “Strength, love and grace to you beautiful one, [you are] an eternal beauty. Love you.”
