Moja Love’s Rea Tsotella fans have questioned whether Moshe Ndiki is the perfect fit to replace Bishop Israel Makamu, in light of the sexual assault allegations levelled against the bishop.
Moja Love took to Twitter on Monday, 7 June 2021, to showcase the matter that was set to be tackled on the evening’s episode of Rea Tsotella. The premise was a woman looking for solace in light of her suspicions that her husband had bewitched her. Her husband is believed to be cheating on her, which he does publicly with her friends, neighbours and familial relatives. However, through it all, the wife cannot find the strength to divorce him.
The premise of the show is that the guest sets out their problem. They then interview the implicated party, and as the show winds down to its ending, the host then attempts to give advice to the complainant. The previous host was the troubled Bishop Israel Makamu. Despite knit-picking his interview style, fans would concur that he followed the premise of the show, meaning that at the end of the show, he gave some advice as to a way forward.
However, Bishop Makamu’s future on television currently hangs in the balance, in light of the sexual assault allegations he is facing. Moreover, Makamu had reportedly voluntarily stepped down from his hosting duties. The production replaced him with Moja Love personality, Moshe Ndiki. Ndiki’s repertoire on the channel is to host its fun and lively shows, like Uyang’thanda Na?
Therefore, as a replacement for Bishop Makamu, fans have called into question whether he has the maturity level to carry a show like Rea Tsotella. Comments were polarised as some claimed that Ndiki is more flippant and more of an audience member in his reactions. Others suggested that despite the theatrics of his performance as a host, he did give his advice to the couple.
