Fine dining restaurants which help you create similar experience at home

Published on

While people may not be able to enjoy the beautiful settings and immaculate services of a fine dining restaurant, foodies are now able to create a similar experience at home.

Despite Level 3 of the nationwide lockdown allowing for sit-down meals at restaurants, patrons are still sceptical about eating out. With all protective measures being put in place, many are still concerned about the health risks associated with eating in close proximity of others, resulting in them leaning towards dining at home.

Many believe that fine dining experiences can only be had at certain restaurants because of the ambience and service from staff, amongst other factors. However, many well-known restaurants have adapted their services to the changing times and are now offering fine dining from the comfort of your own home.

Cape Town’s Fyn restaurant sees Chef Peter Tempelhoff offering two dinner menus to choose from, which include all courses and plating condiments. In Johannesburg, Aurum is offering the Aurum Cooks @Home menus designed by chefs Paulo Santo, Darren O’Donovan and Lisa de Beer, and DW ELEVEN-13 offers the Fine Dining @Home experience by chef-proprietor, Marthinus Ferreira. LivingRoom at Summerhill Estate, based in Durban, has also joined the trend, however, the restaurant has chosen fine dining baskets as its unique offering.
