Fans of Generations: The Legacy were surprised to find out that the latest episode of the show was a repeat episode, which has still yet to be explained.
SABC 1 viewers took to Twitter on Tuesday, 8 June 2021, to question whether the channel was intentionally repeating the same episode that aired on Monday, 7 June 2021. Fans were excited to see more of the new character, Pamela Khoza, played by Zola Nombona. Following an intriguing entry into the world of the story, fans expected Tuesday’s episode to continue to further unpack her surprise marriage to Siyanda, played by Kay Sibiya.
However, much to the disappointment of avid fans, the soapie aired a repeat episode and did not share word on whether the mishap was intentional or not. This is not the first time that the channel has landed in hot water with fans for airing previously played episodes.
In 2020, fans of Uzalo were up in arms on social media as SABC 1 aired a repeat episode. Considering the social media buzz created by fans on various social media platforms on the matter, the channel promptly apologised for the mishap. However, it seems that with this occurrence, the soapie and the production house will move on as if nothing happened.
