Rapper, Gigi Lamayne, announced on social media on Thursday, 24 January 2019, that she will be hosting her very first one-woman show in May 2019.
The Gigi Gang show is an event where the young rapper, whose real name is Genesis Manney, will be the headlining act. She will be joined by other artists who will support her performance. Mpumi and DJ Clock are just two of the many performers who will be part of the show. The Gigi Gang show is set to take place on Saturday, 4 May 2019 and the venue is yet to be announced.
The star promised fans, in a video posted to social media, that she would be releasing further details about the event in the first week of February 2019. The Ice Cream rapper also mentioned that fans would be able to buy tickets to the show in the month of February.
Gigi Lamayne recently released the music video for her latest single, Bozza, featuring fellow rapper Kwesta. The song was released on Monday, 26 November 2018, receiving positive reviews from fans. The lead-up to the video sparked the #BozzaChallenge on social media with fans posting videos of themselves twerking to the song. Bozza premiered on Soweto TV on Thursday, 17 January 2019, at 3:30pm
The star will have an activation for the Gigi Gang show on Saturday, 30 March 2019, at the Zygoz Pub and Grill in Soshanguve. Tickets are available for purchase at Webtickets, retailing at R80. The event will start at 6pm.
